Rachel Knox is a Recruitment Partner at Everest People, supporting organisations and individuals to connect through mahi that is meaningful, aligned and sustainable.

Rachel partners closely with organisations to understand their kaupapa, culture and the realities of the roles they are hiring for. She believes good recruitment is about more than filling a vacancy, it’s about creating the conditions for people to contribute well, belong, and thrive.

 

How Rachel works

Rachel brings a calm, considered approach to recruitment and is known for her integrity, sound judgement and ability to listen deeply. Clients value her commitment to processes that are fair, respectful and transparent for everyone involved.

Rachel supports organisations across the full recruitment lifecycle, partnering from initial role scoping and recruitment planning through to appointment and post‑placement follow‑up. She works closely with leaders to clarify role requirements, define what success looks like, and ensure alignment between organisational needs, team culture and candidate expectations.

Her work includes developing search strategies, proactively engaging active and passive talent, leading structured interviews, and supporting evidence‑based assessment and hiring decisions. Rachel provides clear guidance throughout offer, negotiation and acceptance stages, and remains engaged beyond placement to support long‑term fit and successful integration.

She is particularly mindful of recruitment decisions that carry wider organisational or community impact and is known for creating safe recruitment environments where thoughtful decision‑making is prioritised over speed.
