5 things you might not know about Meredith!
Meredith McKenzie, People & Culture Specialist, Everest People:
She's recently acquired Private Investigator status, bought a new piano and is learning the cello!! Multi-talented Meredith MacKenzie has been with Everest for 18 months, she's hard-working (loves having at least 10 projects on the go at once!!) with a cheeky sense of humor, Meredith is also a whizz on the sewing machine - she's our team COVID face mask creator.
We asked Meredith five important life questions:
What do you love about working for Everest?
Working with a highly competent team who love to laugh together, and know how to debate, discuss, and learn from each other.
How did you get into the world of HR/Rec/Training?
Lifelong personal passion for good leadership, and several years of senior management experience. I have seen too many people suffer and / or cause havoc when they are in the wrong role or wrong company, and so many leaders who need just a little bit of help to make great progress with their teams.
What’s your passion outside of work?
Horses and music. I’m challenging myself to learn to play the cello, and my young horse is constantly challenging me to be a better rider.
If you were trapped on a desert island, what would you take with you?
If it had to fit in my luggage to get there with me, an ipad loaded with books (novels, biographies, and leadership) but if we could be a bit less realistic, my horses and a new piano!
And finally, but most importantly, what’s your tipple?
Any wine worth more than I would usually want to pay!
